Hello, World

The first post on this blog — a fresh start.

Every journey begins with a single step. This blog is mine.

I’ve wanted to have a space to write for a long time. Not for anyone else, really — just for myself. A place to think out loud, to document what I’m learning, and to look back on later.

Why a blog?

There’s something about writing that clarifies thinking. When I have to put words to paper (or screen), half-formed ideas become whole. Confusing concepts become clear. And sometimes, I realize I didn’t understand something nearly as well as I thought.

“Writing is thinking. To write well is to think clearly.” — William Zinsser

What to expect

I’ll write about:

  • Technology — tools, frameworks, things I’m building
  • Ideas — books I’m reading, concepts I’m exploring
  • Notes — quick thoughts, links, references for future me

No schedule, no pressure. Just writing when I have something to say.

The setup

This blog is built with Astro, a modern static site generator. It’s hosted on Cloudflare Pages (free!), and the whole thing is just markdown files in a git repo.

Simple. No database, no CMS, no complexity. Just text.

Here’s to new beginnings.
